Tools To Write Better Copy
WTF is a Funnel??
Funnels seem to be the ‘tactic du jour’ right now. Everyone keeps saying ‘how’s your funnel performing’ or if you’ve not got one... ‘you’ve got to set up a funnel’
Well first I’m gonna break down wtf a funnel is and then we’ll figure out if you need one (you may in fact be surprised you already have one).
What Is The Importance Of Copywriting? What Other Factors Are Involved?
Always be learning.
That should be my motto, because I love to learn, even when I know I should be focused on getting work done. But I forgive myself because I know it all supports my work in the end.
And what I learn improves my writing. I don’t necessarily set out to learn how to improve my writing, it just happens through what I do.
It all comes together to make my writing better.
Yet, there are some tools that I use regularly to check my writing. Almost as a touch stone or benchmark so I know I’m hitting the right points.
Here are my top 3 tools for analyzing and improving my writing…
5 Insights From Being The Dumbest Person In The Room
If you’ve been online a while, you may have heard that copy is the most important aspect to any part of your marketing.
After all, copy is the foundation for video sales letters, social media advertisements, pillar content, educational content, sales pages, websites, emails and more.
It’s the words that tell a story, that evoke emotion, that compel action taking, that create desire and persuade a reader that this ‘thing’ is the solution to their problems.
So, yeah, as Joe Schrieffer of Agora Financial says… “Copy is the fuel to the fire of all sales”
But it’s remiss of us to think that the responsibility of the sale rests solely on the shoulders of the copy written for a specific campaign.
There are two other factors involved in any transactions which must be taken into consideration and those are…

So here are my 5 insights from the event:
(These ideas might not actually be what the speakers talked about BUT this is what landed with me, from my very own perspective 😉)

Don't Tell Me, Show Me!
I’m a bit of a tech geek at heart so no tools or platforms intimidate me (okay, maybe Infusionsoft/Keap does but don’t tell anyone!). When I first started out in online business many moons ago I signed up for all the gadgets and gizmos (LeadPages anyone?), to then only realise I didn’t really need as much as I thought.
Now I’ve a streamlined my business and have minimal outlay for recurring services. I take advantage of as many free platforms as I can, but the ones I do pay for are worth every penny…
How To Organise Your GDrive
Back in the days when I was training to be an actor, I feared one of my teachers. His name was Ron Williams and he had a reputation for putting us young actors through the mill during mock auditions, script reads and rehearsals.
He was known for asking tough questions about character motivations and emotion portrayal which left most of us stumbling over our words to explain what the character was experiencing in that moment, to which he replied…
How To Stand Out In A Crowded Market
One thing I’m happy to admit is that I’m an organisation freak! I love knowing where to find everything when I need it and this is especially true of my work documents. How To Add A ConvertKit Signup Form To Squarespace
When I was studying acting at drama school, we used to joke about ‘What’s my motivation’... fawning and pretending that we just couldn’t do our role unless we knew what our motivation was. But it’s no joke. Character motivation was the key to getting under the skin of the roles we played so that we could embody the character to perfection. And it’s the same when talking to your prospects…
